Over the summer I put much thought into what song I am going to use for my music video.
Weighing up the pro's and con's of my ideas, for example 'Will I need to rely on many people in order to achieve the end product?' in order to help me decide. Issues like that are a problem as by relying on people makes the process much more stressful and harder to do, which is why I need to chose a song which will not have to have many actors/actress', for example a coventional R'n'B video would conventionally have backing dancers for the artist. Which is why a Dance genred song would be ideal as the music videos for Dance songs now are abstract. In the next few days I am going to study some abstract music videos and abstract dance music videos in order to decide whether or not it is managable for me to do so. I will also look at a different number of dance songs to try and see if I can think of any potentional music video's for them. By also looking at the codes and conventions of modern dance music videos, as dance music is now POP, it will help me to develop my ideas. I also think an accoustic song would be good to do as they have quite low budget videos, stripping everything down and just having the artist performing or again going about it using an abstract element. For example Ed Sheeran or Paolo Nutini.
